Dance Of Shadows - Yelena Black

Dance Of Shadows - Yelena Black

For fans of Mystery and Dance, this is the book for you. Even if you don't like those things it's still a pretty good book.

                              THE COVER:

This cover was magnificent. So pretty! I loved how the dress looked like it was made out of rose petals and how they were floating off. It's so detailed and i loved how it was perfect for what actually happened in the book. i kind of find it annoying when they have a picture of a person wearing something when it has NOTHING to do with the plot. This cover is PERFECT.

So i give it...................

                THE PLOT: (What Goodreads says)

Dancing with someone is an act of trust. Elegant and intimate; you're close enough to kiss, close enough to feel your partner's heartbeat. But for Vanessa, dance is deadly – and she must be very careful who she trusts . . .

Vanessa Adler attends an elite ballet school – the same one her older sister, Margaret, attended before she disappeared. Vanessa feels she can never live up to her sister's shining reputation. But Vanessa, with her glorious red hair and fair skin, has a kind of power when she dances – she loses herself in the music, breathes different air, and the world around her turns to flames . . .

Soon she attracts the attention of three men: gorgeous Zep, mysterious Justin, and the great, enigmatic choreographer Josef Zhalkovsky. When Josef asks Vanessa to dance the lead in the Firebird, she has little idea of the danger that lies ahead – and the burning forces about to be unleashed .

      MY REVIEW:

I thought this book was perfectly written and beautiful. So many secrets and disappearances. All the characters were really great, and fit perfectly into the story, -except Zep and Josef  of course- especially, Vanessa. And I'm not just saying that because she is the main character, but because she really was great. Sometimes the main characters can be annoying  and just piss me off, but I loved Vanessa.

The book was magnificent and was perfect. When i first read the description i was awed. I was thinking "Wow, this is so cool". I knew i had to read it. I hear there is going to be a sequel and i will definitely be reading it as soon as it comes out. I will certainly

I  rate this book a.................

The Author!

YELENA BLACK holds an MFA in fiction from Columbia University.Dance of Shadows was inspired by her love of ballet. As a child, she studied dance and fell in love with the art form. Though she never pursued ballet professionally, choosing instead to study creative writing, her interest in performing—and in all things dark and spooky—have blended together in her paranormal debut, where she is able to do pirouettes vicariously through her characters. She lives in New York with an aloof black cat.
